How to create a new list with Siri

To make a new grocery list using Siri, you need to follow the instructions given below:

  1. Hold down the Home or Power button, or just say “Hey Siri” to activate Siri.
  2. Then, say the name of the list and the item you want to add to it, for example, “Add bread to the grocery list”.
  3. If the list doesn’t exist, Siri will ask you whether you want to create one.

And that’s how you can create a Reminders list with Siri.

How to open and edit the new list using Siri

  1. Hold down the Home or Power button, or say “Hey Siri” to activate Siri.
  2. Ask Siri to open your grocery list by naming the list clearly, for example, “Siri open grocery list 2”.
  3. Always specify the action, the item, and the list as accurately as you can. For example, ask Siri to add or remove items from the list verbally by saying, “Siri can you add tomatoes to the grocery list and remove onions from it. Siri then confirms whether you’d like to add the item to the list and then does so.
  4. You can also ask Siri to add emojis next to the items to customize the lists a bit to your liking.
  5. Close the list after confirming it to Siri.

You can open this list up whenever you feel like it, the same way we did it the first time.
